Keeping a lawn looking good in Chattanooga isn’t a one-afternoon job. From early spring through fall, grass grows fast in our warm, humid weather, and a yard that slips for two weeks shows it. Our residential service keeps your lawn on a steady schedule so it always looks cared-for — whether you’re home to see it or not.
Every visit covers the work that makes a lawn look finished, not just cut:
- Mowing at the right height for the season, usually 2¾ to 3 inches.
- String trimming around trees, fences, mailboxes, beds and anywhere the mower can’t reach.
- Edging along driveways, sidewalks and beds for a crisp, clean line.
- Blow-off cleanup of clippings from drives, walks and patios, and out of flower beds.
Add hedge and shrub trimming or bed maintenance when you need it, and the whole yard stays in step.

Our standard through the main growing season, roughly mid-March through October. The best way to keep grass healthy, even and never shaggy.
Every other week
A lighter schedule for slower-growing or lower-traffic lawns, available throughout the cutting season.

Why it matters
A well-kept lawn does more than look nice
Regular mowing keeps grass from going to seed, which keeps it growing thick and green instead of thin and stemmy. Cutting at the right height shades the soil, holds moisture through our summer heat and crowds out weeds. And a neatly edged, trimmed lawn simply makes a house look better — which matters every day you pull into the driveway, and even more if you ever plan to sell.
We also understand that homes around here come in all shapes: older neighborhoods with big shade trees, newer subdivisions with young sod, and hillside lots where a push mower is no fun at all. We’ve worked on all kinds of lawns and plan each one on its own terms.

How much does lawn care cost?
It depends on the size of the grounds and how much you want done. A small, flat front yard that only needs mowing is a very different job from a large lot with slopes, beds and hedges. Instead of guessing with a one-size price, we learn about your property and give you an estimate for it.

How short do you cut the grass?
Usually between about 2¾ and 3 inches, depending on the month. Through the heat of summer we keep it around three inches so the grass shades its own roots, then finish a little shorter in late fall. Scalping a lawn short can stress it and invite weeds, so we don’t.
Is there anything I should do before the first visit?
It helps to let us know about gate codes or locks, pets that will be in the yard, and anything fragile or hidden in the grass, like low sprinkler heads or landscape lighting. Just add it to the notes when you request an estimate.
