How to outline your lawn
- Zoom in until you can see the edges of the grass clearly.
- Choose Outline a lawn area, then tap or click each corner around the grass. Finish by tapping the first corner again, double-clicking, or choosing Finish shape.
- Draw separate outlines for front, back and side yards if they aren’t connected.
- Use Mark an area to leave out for things inside a lawn outline that don’t get mowed — a pool, a large bed, a patio or a shed.
- Drag any corner to adjust it. Double-click or right-click a corner to remove it.
- Keyboard: focus the map and use the arrow keys to move it and +/− to zoom, then use Add corner at crosshair to place each corner.

About this tool
Do I have to give my name, phone number or email?
No. You can measure your lawn and see a preliminary price without an account and without giving us any contact details. We only ask how to reach you if you choose to schedule service or request a firm price — and even then, email is optional and we ask for a phone number only if you’d like a call or text.
Is the price on this page final?
No. It’s a market-based preliminary estimate: this demonstration uses typical Chattanooga-area mowing prices and is not yet Quality Lawn Care’s approved price list. Your final price is confirmed after the property is reviewed. Asking to schedule service or for a firm price is just a request — nothing is booked or agreed until you confirm.
How accurate is a satellite measurement?
It’s a good starting point, not a survey. Overhanging trees, shadows, the age of the imagery and how carefully the outline follows the grass all affect the number. Satellite imagery also shows a flat, top-down view, so a sloped yard has somewhat more surface than it measures. Measurements are preliminary; we confirm the details before any price is final.
What should I include in the outline?
Include the grass we would mow: front, back and side lawns, and grassy strips along the street or driveway. Leave out the house, driveway, sidewalks, patios, pools, and large planting beds. If something inside a lawn doesn’t get mowed, mark it as an area to leave out.
What happens to my address and outline?
They’re saved in this browser tab only, so you can look around the site and come back to your measurement while the tab is open. We receive them only if you choose to send us a request. Address search and the satellite map are provided by Google Maps. See our privacy policy.
